We had a great day out and about celebrating our friends Spring Grove MM’s 40th Anniversary. This is their splendid write up, we have added a few photos from various sources!
‘A great day yesterday at our 40th Anniversary Day of Dance along the River Thames. We were joined by our good friends from Greensleeves Morris Men, Yateley MorrisMen, Thames Valley Morris Men (TVMM), Ewell St Mary’s Morris Men, Kingston Morris, and a representative of London Pride Morris Men.
After coffee and pastries we boarded 70 seater red taxi and headed to Richmond for two spots, The White Cross by the river and Richmond Green. The rain just about held off while we all performed on the stage at Richmond May Fair, Richmond Green. A few umbrellas up but not enough to stop the fun.
After lunch we continued to Twickenham and danced at the White Swan and Barmy Arms, before heading to Kingston Riverside at The Ram, where grey skies finally turned to sunshine, bringing out an audience. It was then back home to Spring Grove where our final spot was at the Bloomfield’s Street Party.
We finished the day with a feast with music and song, and of course that amazing cake, washed down with lots of excellent local beer from The Park Brewery.
Thanks to all our friends for joining us to make this a special day.’
