A nice evening with our old friends Thames Valley Morris, great to catchup. Balmy evening. Huge car park – jammed pack, unusual for a Tuesday night. Very generous and accommodating pub, preparing a part of the terraced garden for our performances. Thank you! The Fool thought it somewhat stage like and spouted forth with gusto!
A good turnout from YMM, 11 dancers all jockeying to get into the next dance. Some good dancing from both sides, TVM are known for their extensive repertoire. The Horse was, unusually, well received by the audience (sort of) and the cause of general shrieking from some frisky fillies from the staff. Not be out done, the magnificent TVM Goat made a welcome appearance, co-opting a happy young Nathan as a trainee goatherd.
The evening concluded with mayhem, a mass, mixed Vandals from Lichfield. A little music to finish, accompanied by some outraged owl hooting.
A really pleasant evening, great pub and great company.
