Our first time at the busy Foundry Bell, at least one of our number turned up confused at the nearby Oakingham Belle… Nice welcome and friendly crowd, sadly we and our audience were separated by an ornamental garden/hedge/whatever so we couldn’t actually see each other. We clattered on gamely, entertaining another generation of Crossmans, Rosie and Noah, ‘Mr Fluffy’ (our Fool) ran through the set with them. All very cute.

Onto the Ship with much faffing with parking, a few of us shocked to find an enormous, Arabian nights type palace filling what was the carpark. No distance from the audience here – we were virtually on their surprised laps. Introductions made we launched into an enthusiastic and energetic set. Mr Fluffy regaled the bemused audience with a song history of the Morris…. Capn Larnos was danced, rather well actually and some diddly diddly finished off a pleasant, balmy evening.
Pick of the beers – London Pride!
PS 30072024 The Walking Tour of Bracknell – sadly cancelled…
