The sun shone, a beautiful evening with the lovely Calleva Arms and it’s punters basking in the evening glow. Andy had a good chat with them and they soon warmed to our antics – especially the equine attention! A couple of competent sets with the Squire producing a testing programme. Always sort of aware that it is Kennet MM’s home pub.
Pick of the dances – Signposts, Fieldtown.

A little way down Little London Road (always raises a smile..) is The Plough, a rare unspoilt gem. Car park being re-done, so a bit of car juggling needed. A small but keen, folky audience joined us – plenty of banter and chat. A good couple of sets followed, finished off by a very generous selection of sandwiches.

All rather nice, all rather English somehow.
