We really like this event, and this year proved to be no exception. Great to catchup with family, friends old and new in a ‘relaxed’ environment – good to see our Mike Musgrove who had trekked to see us and to meet Aidan.
Cycling to this event has always been uniformly successful, cycling back sometimes much less so… The ever resourceful Mike Clarke managed to load his bike with the full set of sticks and Horse gubbins – an impressive achievement.

Tokens spent, the first set in the tent, Fool announced and wild applause followed. The lads danced confidently and enthusiastically and the dances were warmly received.
Second set outside the tent, where we managed to get in everyone’s way – tent, food, toilet. All the photos seem to feature the portaloo, NO we weren’t sponsored by them….and try as we might, they did did not rock from side to side…..

Horse appeared from nowhere to great shrieks of delight (maybe), the loudest being from the trio of ladies guarding the tokens at the entrance – see photos. Much convivial romping around, actually by both Fool and Horse.

Third set back in the tent, well, a little more relaxed this time. The lads, however, raised their game for a lively finish with the Upton Stick Dance. More beer, general dribbling and confusion at the bar with tankards and tokens – all with lots of laughter!
Pick of the performance, Upton Stick Dance was a great finale….. and pick of the beers, all good and too many to mention…
