Our now traditional venue for our last Tuesday night out in the dancing season. We are often used to this being a dark, cold and sparsely attended event, but not tonight!
Very fine weather had brought many people out and we had a good, enthusiastic audience, and an excellent turn out from the lads as well plus lots of our lovely wags, family and friends. A well attended Rotary club meeting was also taking place, the pub was heaving – keeping the three friendly staff really busy.
The Squire continue to programme dances that we hadn’t often performed during the season, keeping us all on our toes. Some pretty fine dancing followed in two long sessions. Some fine dancing and playing for jigs, David and Gunther with ‘Go and Enlist’, Sherborne and David with ‘Ladies Pleasure’ dancing in the Fieldtown style by Paul and in the Bledington style by Baz – simultaneously! There is quite a steep slope outside the pub and this is always a sense of merriment to the lads as you will see from the photos.

The pub very generously provided loads of rolls and chips, served Al fresco, which were enormously appreciated and just about finished! Thank you.
A concerted effort was made to move indoors and the sound of music, laughter and song soon wafted out into the balmy evening.

Two ‘vans stopped over, making a night of it.
A great night full of laughter and bonhomie, a great way to finish our Tuesday nights for this year.
Pick of the performance Black Joke, Ilmington and Andwell’s Gold Muddler was pick of the beers.
