It had lashed it down all day, but the sun came out and our grassy dance area was fine. Guests of Winchester MM. We were ready for 7:30, WMM arriving for 8:00…small programme mismatch! Steve went all Father Christmas on us, dispensing ‘clear out’ gifts to all.

Great pub now under new management following retirement of longterm landlord. Fantastic views from the immaculate garden.

A dodgy Beaux got YMM underway and both sides provided the enthusiastic audience with some good dancing. Some wretch had failed to clean up after their dog, leaving a pile in the middle of the dance area – highly amusing to watch both sides trying to avoid – jumping, straddling, hopping….only partially successful tho’. Had to explain to the audience – they were looking confused! A lovely audience, chatty, full of questions and appreciative of the display. One (only slightly glazed) couple had flown in from Australia that day.
Our Phil was photographed undertaking some dodgy and dangerous stickwork!!

Someone considerately put some fallen flowers around the muck to mark the spot. One wag said, ‘damn fine manure, flowers already….’
Both beasts were in evidence and entertained the delighted crowd. Good to see the Squireshaking a leg..or two… Ringwood’s Best was the beer of the evening.
YMM dancer picking up up a glasses case from the dance area ‘we normally get a Fool to do that.’
Wag ‘Looks like we just did’ … General laughing!
Nearly everyone piled in to the bar area for an agreeable music session.
A very nice evening with our host WMM, good dancers and musicians AND great company!
