250723 Red Lion, Horsell

At the fringes of our patch, we were happy to make the journey to meet up with our old friends Thames Valley Morris. Always good to see TV and catchup, banter and generally blather!

Red Lion was great, moving furniture, reserving tables and (wonderfully) providing some beer… Our audience, a bit distant on different terraces or behind low hedges, were also a great and cheered us on on. They just loved our Beast, well who doesn’t?

Both sides were on good form, navigating some tricky footing on the grass with care. TV showed off their wide repertoire of dances. Joined by Morris luminary Lewis Augustus Elliot who danced and took most of the excellent photos. Well done to Paul L – squire for the night for the first time – and probably not the last!
