Busy brewery, fortunately lots of parking for ‘artistes’! Natty pink festival wristbands attached, we went in search of the organiser to discuss beer tokens…
Busy organisers had been let down by a band, but enterprisingly found another at short notice. This had scrambled the timings of the programme and pushed our, now single, performance back. Ah well.
Very much a community event, with lots of families and children activities plus a roaring trade in pizza, burgers and beer. Robust and noisy live bands precluded any YMM busking at the fringes of the mini-festival.
Ross donned his new Fool’s waistcoat for the first time, thank you Ann, now fully colour coordinated with PDC. The bizarre ‘hops up the nose’ activity made another appearance.
Our eagerly awaited performance got underway to huge cheers and applause – ‘audience of the season’ and we danced well to much appreciation. Lots of kids and happy family groups.
A final ‘Shepherd’s Hey’ and we danced into the sunset to shake our organiser down for some more beer tokens….
Hogsback IPA, Skirmish and a great audience were the picks of the day. One happy fellow pressed some cash into the Fool’s hand and said ‘thanks for a great show’. Warm glow.
