290822 Swallowfield Show

Great day out. We are used to performing in the middle of a big arena, miles away from our audience  so it came as a nice surprise to find we had a much smaller, more intimate area to perform in. Excellent.

We performed two long, lively spots on nice soft, muscle sapping grass in glorious sunshine with a cooling breeze bracketed by a magician, one person steel band and an accordion group – classic fete entertainment. Perfect.

Also, a live microphone, unusual for us, much to our Fool’s delight….he blathered on enthusiastically allowing dancers to catch their breath ‘tween dances. Our music was in good form, altho’ not keen on being goosed again! Dancing was hard work but pretty durn  good with a full programme from the Squire, great to be close to the audience and get some banter going. Horse and Fools busy – chatting, tickling, water pistoling, hula hooping and more. We left the audience very happy with a big round of applause. XX

Lolling!

Siren Brewery stall was very close, the excellent Half Mast IPA was our pick at a fair £4 a pint. Nice folks behind the bar. Very close neighbours in Finchampstead – we would welcome an invite!

Super friendly folk helping us with sound system (Jools) and entertainments (Steve) – thank you.

A luvverly day out.
