07062022 The Frog & Wicket, Eversley, The Bull At Barkham

A dodgy outlook, but turned out to be a fine evening. Passed C&E limbering up at the D&P.

Frog and Wicket lovely in the sun, muted sounds of cricket in the background – quintessentially English! Good set, Bumpus of Stretton and Yateley Heath my picks at this venue. Great to see our Keith out, enjoying himself in part kit. Excellent.

Onto the Bull at Barkham, an understated gem of a pub. Rebellion IPA was terrific. Good to see Barry & June. Louis, our very nice barman for the evening, loved the dance – we will be in touch! Fool was in particularly noisy mode, we are pretty sure the neighbours would’ve heard everything. Relaxed dancing, jigs, Black Joke wisely avoided, Ring O’ Bells a shambles and the curious 10 man Adderbury Hey a hoot!

Relaxed chattering outside until late, but again no music/song session despite Gunther starting things off.
