Yateley Badges

It is a feature of most Morris sides that they like to create distinctive badges that are sold as a souvenir to members of the public and to other Morris sides. We have a proud tradition of offering both badges and keyrings, currently in leather with a range of designs. If you are not immediately offered one then ask any dancer to sell you one or more.

To celebrate our 25th Anniversary, Ross Healey and Rod Crane put together a panel showing the badges that had been produced over those early years. For a time this was exhibited in Yateley library and is currently stored in our archive. To make it more accessible a picture is shown below followed by a (much corrected!) key to the topics depicted and the artists responsible. You will see that Brian Cresswell was our principal in house artist. When he retired from the side Tim Lloyd took over the duties.
